Jewellery & Watches | New Exhibitor | Craft Gallery
My handmade jewellery combines textured and formed silver with interesting and unusual semi-precious gemstones. These elements give my work its signature design aesthetic, which is modern and bold with simple clean lines. My pieces are comfortable and wearable. They are often matt with subtle colourings.
My aim is for my pieces to make an understated statement.
My work is sold in a variety galleries and shops throughout the UK.
Free postage offered on any orders placed at STFA. Special Delivery - usually charged at cost.
The vast majority of Limited Edition Handmade Pieces are new for 2020. I usually make 1-5 of each new design. I try hard to source the most interesting stones to work with. I particularly like the markings on Jaspers and Agates and am always searching for stones cut in unusual shapes, with matt finishes. I often start with the stone itself and this informs my design process. Experimenting with textures on silver allows me to echo the markings of the stone. My favourite texturing techniques are hammering and roll printing. I use silver sheet, tube and wire to form my shapes. Some of the metalsmithing techniques I use are doming, swaging and press forming. They allow me to produce three dimensional, sculptural shapes. My small, themed evolving Design Ranges are updated every year. This year I have added some longer ‘statement’ necklaces to some of my ranges. Pieces are always made to order giving the customer the flexibility to request particular stones. Sizes and lengths can be adjusted to produce a bespoke collection. The gemstones used in ranges occasionally change to provide interest and variety.
