Galeabel Studio Pottery

China, Glass & Ceramics | Design-led Gifts

Galea sculpts contemporary studio ceramics in clay, using only traditional hand-building methods, specialising in a collection of decorative items for the garden made in frost-proof and fade-proof stoneware then high fired to withstand extremes of hot and cold all year round. She approaches modelling her objects from a playful perspective, working with their shape and form, decorating with her own colourful glaze recipes. Each piece is individually hand-made and no two items are identical. Galea is a member of the Craft Potters’ Association and Northern Potters. Her work is in prestige galleries and design-led retail outlets throughout the north of England and she has exhibited her prize winning work in Cartwright Hall, Bradford’s public art gallery.
